What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a boba lover with the creativity to get our RTD ready-to-drink boba beverages into education-related campuses, institutions, and organizations.
We have a team already working on conventional retail channels like supermarkets, convenience stores, warehouse clubs, or food service channels like restaurants and cafes. We're now recruiting for someone with insights and networks into the food service programs and placements at educational institutions, such as universities and colleges, whether it be on-campus cafeterias, dining halls, quick service restaurants, or retail outlets. Ideally, you’ll have experience and achievements selling into the education industry.
If you do not have direct, professional experience selling into the education industry but are confident in your insights, networks, and entrepreneurial spirit, let’s talk as well.
What Are Our Expectations?
We expect you to proactively identify educational institution departments and stakeholders with decision-making authority, approach them, and negotiate vendor or distribution agreements to make our RTD boba beverage products readily available to student, faculty, and guest consumers on campus.
You’ll establish and manage the customer-vendor relationship with them, as a trusted business partner, if not their best friend forever. You'll regularly check in to see how our product is received and performing in their environment with their audiences to foster discovery, trial, ongoing consumption, and long-term brand satisfaction.
You'll work closely with the rest of us as a tight-knit team, discussing overall business issues and decisions, advocating and supporting each other towards our shared vision of our company and brand's future. We expect you to have an owner's mentality and spirit.
Prior experience and accomplishments in the CPG consumer packaged goods industry, in a sales or business development role, will help you help us... which—if you think about it—ultimately helps you again.
You should be fluent in work productivity software like Google Workspace and communication tools like Slack.
You should be diligent in documenting, tracking, and reporting your outreach, prospecting, meetings, and negotiation results.
You should be comfortable with business travel and working in the field, as much of your role is face-to-face interaction with your sales prospects and account partners.
You are based in California, sunny California, specifically Los Angeles or San Francisco.
You will work with us on a full-time basis, and dream about our boba when unconscious.
What Are We Offering?
We're offering an above-average commission rate on all sales from accounts you bring in and service, which you can apply towards building a sizable equity stake in the company that makes you a true co-owner and partner with the rest of us, or take as cash commissions each month.
This is not a fit for everyone, or even most people. Please carefully evaluate your personal financial needs against your ambitions and interests before applying. All existing partners have committed to not drawing a base salary until our company has reached a target revenue benchmark, with your contribution and leadership.
