Job Description

Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Credentialing Specialist to work in a Healthcare Organization in Austin, Texas. - Remote Position

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the credentialing of individual, facility, and/or ancillary medical/surgical providers. This role ensures that all credentialing standards and internal requirements are met and maintained to ensure a compliant and efficient healthcare network.

Job Duties :

· Verify and maintain network, individual, and/or facility/ancillary provider information in a timely and accurate manner.

· Monitor disciplinary actions, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution.

· Correspond with licensing boards, hospitals, certification agencies, training programs, and medical groups to resolve issues.

· Ensure the accuracy and completeness of credentialing data within the database.

· Build and run reports, gathering data and sending out updates as needed.

· Communicate with various stakeholders, including practitioners, office staff, provider network administrators, contracting teams, and management to resolve credentialing-related issues.

· Review and identify credentialing or re-credentialing requirements, ensuring data entry, correspondence, and verifications are in line with company policies and procedures.

· Analyze credentialing reports, policies, and procedures, summarizing key findings and providing feedback to relevant groups and management.

· Assist in preparing files, reports, and binders for monthly Credentialing Committee meetings, including pre- and post-Committee functions.

· Support internal projects by obtaining follow-up information as requested by the Credentialing Committee or Peer Review Teams.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

· Must Reside in Austin, TX

· High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required

· Associate's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a related field. - Preferred

· 0-2 years of experience in a credentialing or healthcare administration role - Preferred

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

· Knowledge of credentialing processes and healthcare regulations preferred.

Job Details:

· Schedule/Shift: Standard Day Shift 8am - 5pm

· Starting Pay $23/Hr. (based on experience) + benefits.
