Job Description

This is a short term W2 assignment for 1 month.

The Assistant Merchant, Global Women’s Bottoms is responsible for supporting the overall execution of Non-Denim & Fashion Shorts global product categories as well as supporting Sr. Merchant with the Core portfolio, ensuring data accuracy and sample management. You will report to and partner with the Director Merchandising, Global Women’s Bottoms.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure data-entry integrity and maintenance of seasonal product integrity in product management systems.
• Responsible for sample management and organization for assigned global product categories.
• Contribute to some aspects of Product Development activities as determined by Director.
• Act as a conduit of information, materials and samples to cluster merchandising and cross-functional teams.
• Create and maintain line plans and communicate plans with key cross-functional business partners.
• Assist Merchants/team in preparation for major milestone events & meetings, product performance reviews and sell-out reports.
• Assist with targeted consumer and competitor research via market shopping and fashion publications.
• Conduct administrative work for the merchandising team as needed.

Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in apparel merchandising recommended
• Strong knowledge and proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills across teams and levels
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Passion for product and the consumer
• Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
