Internship Summary: The Washington Wild Things, a professional baseball team in the Frontier League, are seeking multiple individuals for Multimedia Internships for the 2025 season. The Multimedia Intern will complete tasks of a Photography and Graphic Design nature and will lend their hand in our in-game/broadcast productions. This individual will assist at home baseball games and events at the park by capturing and editing photos and performing basic graphic design tasks. The Multimedia Internship is a perfect fit for those looking to work in the sports industry and provides students with valuable hands-on behind-the-scenes experience in the fast-paced environment. Reports to: Vice President of Baseball Operations, Broadcaster, Creative Services Staff Notes: Marking the cover letter portion as N/A will disqualify you from consideration for the position. Responsibilities: Operate DSLR cameras Capture images of: Game Action (Warmups, Intros, In-Game, Celebrations, etc.) Fans (Groups, Celebrations, etc.) Promotions (First Pitches, National Anthem Signers, 7th Inning Stretch, Performers, etc.) Mascot Events (SipAway Festival, Concerts, etc.) Assist on all assigned shoots and editing Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (Photoshop) Develop ideas for graphic elements or promotions to be used during the season Organize and archive daily game photos Perform basic graphic design duties Create and update gameday social media graphics Create social media and video board advertisements Update/create new player headshot images for video board use Works home games, events, and daytime office hours if necessary Occasionally required to lift heavy loads and haul production gear Desired Skills/Qualifications: Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Multimedia, or a related field preferred but not required Technical experience in photography and editing and/or experience in Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite Experience in Microsoft Office Receiving school credit for internship Passion for sports and general knowledge of baseball Energy to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment Able to assume other responsibilities as required Must be available to work from beginning (early-mid May) to end of season (early-mid September) Ability to handle numerous projects & meet deadlines Some experience in lighting and shoot setup is a plus We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
