About RICH SOLAR:

RICH SOLAR is a leading provider of off-grid solar solutions, specializing in high-performance solar energy systems for RVs, trailers, boats, and other off-grid applications. We collaborate with RV manufacturers to develop innovative, energy-efficient solar solutions that enhance energy independence and sustainability.

We are seeking an experienced Off-Grid Solar Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of solar power systems for RV manufacturers. This on-site position in Ontario, CA requires close collaboration with our headquarters team, U.S. customer factories, and overseas manufacturing partners. Occasional travel to partner manufacturing plants, primarily in Indiana, will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Solar System Design & Development
  • Design and optimize off-grid solar energy solutions tailored for RV manufacturers.
  • Engineer and integrate solar panels, MPPT charge controllers, lithium battery banks, and inverters into RV electrical systems.
  • Conduct load calculations to properly size systems for various RV models.
  • Develop energy management solutions to maximize power efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes, RVIA standards, and best practices.

Compartment Design & Integration
  • Collaborate with RV manufacturers to develop optimized compartments for solar system components within cargo bays.
  • Utilize 3D modeling and CAD software to design space-efficient, well-ventilated, and accessible layouts for solar equipment.
  • Ensure proper ventilation, heat dissipation, and protection of solar components against environmental conditions.

Technical Support & Collaboration
  • Provide technical guidance and training to RV manufacturers and internal teams.
  • Maintain clear communication between headquarters, U.S. customer factories, and overseas manufacturing partners.
  • Conduct on-site visits to customer manufacturing plants in Indiana and other locations as required.

Testing & Optimization
  • Lead prototype testing and validation of new solar system designs.
  • Evaluate emerging battery technologies and solar innovations to enhance system efficiency.
  • Analyze system performance data and implement continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering and off-grid solar system design.
  • Extensive knowledge of RV electrical systems, lithium battery technology, and solar power components.
  • Proficiency in solar system modeling, simulation tools, and CAD software.
  • Hands-on experience integrating solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and lithium battery banks in mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with NEC codes, RVIA electrical standards, and off-grid power best practices.
  • Ability to work on-site in Ontario, CA, with occasional travel to customer factories in Indiana.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with HQ, U.S. customers, and overseas suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with RV manufacturers to integrate solar power solutions.
  • Knowledge of energy monitoring systems and power management technologies.
  • Understanding of thermal management and efficiency improvements in off-grid power systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.



Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year (DOE)
  • Location: Ontario, CA (On-Site) | Occasional travel to Indiana manufacturing plants
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
