Job Overview:

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help shape the future of digital media ownership. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining the core backend systems that power our platform. You'll work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver performant, scalable, and reliable backend services that improve our product and delight our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Development: Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems that support a seamless user experience and reliable platform performance.
• API Design: Develop clean, efficient, and scalable APIs for internal and external use.
• Code Quality: Write high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability, and testability.
• Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers, product managers, and other team members to deliver thoughtful solutions to complex problems.
• Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and other technical issues in backend services.
• Scalability: Build systems that scale efficiently as our platform and user base grow.

Qualifications:

• Experience:  Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Rust, including experience with its ecosystem, libraries, and best practices.
• Backend Systems: Solid experience building and scaling backend services, with a strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Database Knowledge:  Familiarity with Postgres, Redis, and queueing systems, and how they contribute to building scalable architectures.
• Blockchain and NFTs: Basic understanding of blockchain and NFTs is a plus.
• Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously and take initiative based on business needs.
• Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design and implement elegant APIs.
• Remote Communication: Effective communication skills in remote work settings (Slack, Hangouts, etc.)
