Job Description

PRPL is looking for proactive, detail-oriented, systems-thinking Content Designers who can work with a cross-functional team to drive clear, engaging content design. This person will help define the discipline of content design for generative AI experiences and make sure that shoppers get useful, engaging answers to questions like: “What’s a good gift for a 7 year old boy?” “How does iPhone 13 compare to iPhone 14?” “Help me buy a breadmaker for 2 people”.

Contract Information: Long term, full time contract role. NYC based preferred but EST hours required. Fully Remote.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with PM, UXR, and Eng to develop a product vision and deliver simple yet comprehensive experiences.
• Define content requirements, based in user needs, and develop concepts for early-stage products.
• Conduct user research and testing to evaluate the effectiveness of generated content and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Develop content frameworks and guidelines that ensure consistency and quality across all generated content.
• Develop style guides and guidelines for AI-generated content.
• Review and edit AI-generated content to ensure quality and consistency.
• Present content strategy and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage projects and stakeholders.
• Write clear, concise user interface text.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience on user-focused product writing including work in GenAI, software, digital agency, or other relevant product area.
• Experience in shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
• A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with new product teams, who haven’t collaborated with UXCD before.
• Experience with localization and accessibility best practices.
